Please bring along identity card and cashier cheque of Baht 65,000

payable to "หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตร์บัณฑิต การออกแบบนิเทศศิลป์ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ.

(CommDe can not accept personal cheque)

Candidates who do not turn up on the specific date and time will be considered as giving up their places.

We have very limited parking spaces.

Annoucement: INTERVIEW CANDIDATES 2010

Welcome to the interview of new applicants for academic year 2010 of the International Programme in Communication Design. Here are some guidelines that will assist you through our interview procedure.

1. There are two parts of the interview procedure.

2. Please arrive and register between 7.30 – 8.30 at the buildings of the department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Payathai Road, Patumwan, Bangkok 10330.

3. Parents are not allowed to enter the premises. Please wait outside.

4. The first part of the interview procedure is a one-hour communication design skill test, in which you are requested to design and execute your ideas according to the given brief.

All of the interviewees are requested to take this examination between 8.30-9.30 of Thursday 18th February 2010.

The test will be done only on an A3 paper. Each interviewee is allowed to bring appropriate drawing tools and equipment into this test. The Office of International Programme in Communication Design will prepare A3 standard office paper for you. However, if it is necessary for you to realize your test on particular types of paper (for example, watercolor paper), please bring it along with you.

5. The second part of the interview is on Thursday 18th February 2010 9.30 – 16.30 and Friday 19th February 2010, 8.30-15.00, at the buildings of the department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Payathai Road, Patumwan, Bangkok 10330

6. The second part of the interview procedure is a 15-minute interview. A specific period will be assigned to each of the interviewees. Each interviewee is requested to be present in a space, designated for the interviewees to wait for their interviews, during each interviewee’s assigned period.

7. During your interview the panel will also assess your application form, your portfolio, and your communication design skill test.

8. The panel will be asking you questions to establish if you will benefit from joining this programme. They will be seeking evidence that you are open to intellectual and creative challenge, and that your work demonstrates that you have a curiosity towards creative experimentation and design exploration.

ซึ่งนำเสนอก้าวแรกของนิสิตปีหนึ่งรุ่นแรกของหลักสูตรนี้
เข้าสู่อาณาจักรของ การออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสาร
(communication design).

ตลอดหนึ่งสัปดาห์ นับแต่วันที่ 14 มกราคม
นิสิต CommDe จุฬาฯ 40 คน จะยึดพื้นที่ว่างในหอศิลป์ กทม.
เป็นห้องปฏิบัีติการ เพื่อร่วมกันนำเสนอตัวเองสู่โลกกว้าง
ในฐานะนักออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสารในอนาคต
ด้วย installation ชิ้นเดียวแต่มากด้วยจินตนาการ
ซึ่งจะทำเสร็จในวันศุกร์ที่ 22 มกราคม.

เราขอเชิญท่าน มาชมและตัดสินใจด้วยตัวเอง

CommDe (คอมดี)จุฬาฯ คือหลักสูตรปริญญาตรีนานาชาติสาขาการออกแบบเพื่อการสื่อสาร (communication design) ซึ่งรวมเอาศาสตร์การออกแบบหลากหลายเข้าด้วยกัน นับตั้งแต่ กราฟฟิคดีไซน์, การออกแบบอักษร, illustrations, การออกแบบภาพยนตร์/สิ่งพิมพ์/เกม/animation และ new-media design.

Chulalongkorn University's CommDe is proud to present
IN PROGRESS No. 1: THIS IS NOT AN EXHIBITION,
which features its first-year students' first steps
in the realm of communication design.

For one week from January 14,
40 CommDe's students will take over an enormous empty space
at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC)
and explore how they might represent themselves
as promising future communication designers
through a single yet ambitious installation.
The installation is due to be completed on Friday 22nd January.

We would like to invite you to see and decide for yourselves
whether this is an exhibition or not.
