CommDe Second Round Admission

Applicants must meet at least 2 of 3 requirements as the following:

1. English score from one of the following test

• CU-TEP minimum of 550
• TOEFL (Computer-based) minimum of 213
• TOEFL (Paper-based) minimum of 550
• TOEFL (Internet-based) minimum of 79
• IELTS minimum of 6
• SAT 1 (Critical Reading) minimum of 400

2. CU-TAD minimum of 60%

3. Math and English score from one of the following test

• CU-AAT (Math and Verbal)
• SAT 1 (Math and Critical Reading)
• International Baccalaureate or A-Level or NCEA

All applicants who meet the requirements above can now apply at CommDe Office Room 302/1 Department of Industrial Design from 9 am - 4 pm until 3 April 2009

For those first round applicants who were not admitted can re-apply by using the old application as well as portfolio. Please contact CommDe office directly for further details.

CommDe applicants can apply directly at the CommDe office between 12-19 March 2009 from 9.00-16.00

CU-TAD Information
Registration Date: Mar 12 - 19, 2009
Test Date: Mar 22, 2009

Exam Time: 9.00 - 12.00 am
Venue: Room 319, Nart Potiprasart Building, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University

Requirement of CU-TAD application
1. Application Form (download here)
2. A one-inch ID photo, taken not earlier than the previous 6 months
3. One self-addressed envelope (11 x 23 cm.) with a two-Baht stamp.
(Note: The Center will not send out the test results without the attached envelop described)
4. 2,000 Baht application fee

Application Procedure
Submit the above requirements at CommDe office. Room 302/1 Lert Urasayanan Building, Department of Industrial Design, Chulalongkorn University.

What to bring on the exam day.
1. Identification: please bring one valid official ID with photograph (Thai national ID card or passport) An applicant without a valid picture ID will not be allowed to take the test.
2. Test ticket
3. Stationary required:
Drawing tools (depending on your preference and techniques): pencils, pens, eraser, liquid paper, sharpener and ruler
Painting tools : water color, poster color, colored-pencils, etc. and accessories such as brushes, bottles of water, glasses/cups, color palette, tissue and sponge.

The 2nd call will allow CommDe to consider applicants who may not meet our academic criteria but show strong potential, through portfolio & interview, to be offer a place on condition.

Candidates wish to accept their places should report at CommDe office on Tuesday March 10, from 9.00 - 16.00
.Please bring along identity card and cashier cheque of Baht 65,000 payable to "หลักสูตรศิลปศาสตร์บัณฑิต การออกแบบนิเทศศิลป์ (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ. (CommDe can not accept personal cheque)

Candidates who do not turn up on the specific date and time will be considered as giving up their places.
